We’re organizing a collection event where you will be able to bring us your plastic waste to be transformed into something new. The event will see lots of great music, drinks and the best vegan food at our workspace in Eindhoven. Join the plastic tribe and recycle some plastic.

Bit of background

We are Sam 🇳🇱 & Taylor 🇨🇦 from Precious Plastic Version 4 in Eindhoven. Since the new year we’ve been focusing on thinking and designing a collection system that can be used around the world by hundreds of Precious Plastic workspaces. This will be released with Version 4, giving different methods and strategies to be applied to different situation. If you would like to follow our process then check out our ongoing forum thread.

The event

To start this new collection system, we are throwing a BIG collection event on April 6th. People can join us at the workspace in Eindhoven, bring their own plastic and learn how to be part of the solution. People are welcome from 11:00 until 14:00. A team from Precious Plastic will be there to answer questions, share what we know about plastic, help people sort their plastic and most importantly having a good time!

The event focuses mainly on consumer plastic (plastic that you buy and use everyday). For this first event we are asking local people to bring their plastic, no additional requirements. See what happen kind of approach 😊

We are expecting to end up with lots of not-so-useful dirty plastic such as film packaging, dirty food containers and plastic with adhesive and labels. However, the main purpose of this event is benchmarking and learning. First learn, iterate and eventually come up with solutions to create a nice and useful stream of plastic into the workspace.

So if you are in the area, gather some friends & family and bring your plastic. Drinks and snacks are on us 😊
